Hi and welcome to my web site. My name is Moreland Smith, I am eight years old and I live in Taunton, Somerset.

As you will find out I am mad about Motocross.

I had my first bike for my fourth birthday, and have not looked back since.

The bike I ride at the moment is a KTM 65sx, which I love.

The best thing about Motocross, is the feeling you get when you ride a bike fast over rough terrain, and especially flying over jumps. You have to ride allsorts of tracks, in allsorts of weathers.

2007 was my first year in MX. I have made lots of friends, and had a lot of fun. I have been lucky enough to have had some coaching from three times ex World 500cc MX champion Dave Thorpe, a great chap that has helped my riding no end.

About Motocross.

A fast  sport that involves up to 40 competitors starting from behind start gates. At schoolboy level, a day at the races consists of one practice session, followed by 3 races. Each race lasts about 10 minutes for the auto's.  You gain points depending where you finish in each race. The overall winner is the one with the most points at the end. Schoolboy age groups are from 6-16 years of age.
